Situated in Exmoor National Park
Treborough Hill Cross Country Course is situated on Treborough Common, on the B3224 between
Ralegh's Cross and Wheddon Cross and provides panoramic views and scenery across Exmoor from
Dunkery Beacon to South Wales and across to the Quantock Hills.
We are a family run business. Our focus is therefore on future generations, including our own children, benefiting from Treborough Hill Cross Country Course.
Exmoor Cross Country Course will give young people the opportunity to train either competitively or for fun, via pony clubs or individually, providing the chance for them to improve and reach their potential. Considering the high number of horses and ponies in this area compared to the population, there has been a very low national success rate in equestrian sports. The nearest top level Eventer would be Mary King at Sidmouth. This course can provide a training venue for up and coming local riders who do not have the financial resources to travel frequently to other courses.
Treborough provides a training facility, with a variety of jumps, tiny introductory fences through to complex and technical features. A strong emphasis is placed on confidence building for the young riders and novice horses.
Set in a beautiful part of Exmoor where people can experience and enjoy what Exmoor has to offer the farm stretches to 500 acres, with wooded areas and 35,000 planted trees.
The course is tailored to enhance the existing landacape features and encompass the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
Tree Planting
There are 35,000 planted trees in the area.
Local Suppliers Used
All the timber used for building the course is from an Exmoor Woodcert supplier.
